Urinary incontinence isn't a fatality anymore.
This pathology, which handicaps a large majority of the female population, should be treated in a global approach of the pelvic floor pathologies. Up to 25% of women over 65 years will suffer from urinary incontinence but age is not a discriminating factor in the appearance of this pathology. Comportemental and physiotherapeutical treatments are primordial. In case of lack of good results, surgery may offer good results in urinary incontinence and pharmacological treatment for urge urinary incontinence. In this text, the most common treatment options will be discussed.
