WILLIAMSBURG, VA USA (UroToday.com) - Validated questionnaires are almost universally used in the literature to evaluate impact of surgery on quality of life (QoL).
Over 40 questionnaires of varying lengths and complexity exist, with many being time and resource consuming. No agreement exists regarding optimal questionnaire; however, UDI-6 and IIQ-7 are the most popular. Outcomes of questionnaires almost universally show postoperative improvement which may result in loss of sensitivity in differentiating between efficacy of different procedures.
