CHICAGO, IL USA (UroToday) - Of the 99,142,845 female respondents 18 years and older, 42% had stress urinary incontinence (SUI) and 10% had non-stress urinary incontinence.
A questionnaire was used to assess SUI. The community-dwelling status included various racial groups and non-Hispanic blacks had the lowest rate of SUI, whereas Mexician Americans had the lowest rate of other types of incontinence. The education level of the study participant impacted the rate of other types of UI but was not a factor in the rate of SUI.
