It has been forty years since the first IVF child, Louise Brown, born in 1978 and now more than 7 million children are conceived after assisted reproductive technologies (ART). There has been a tremendous increase in the number of ART cycles and several more advanced treatments have been developed, such as intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).
