Robot-Assisted Laparoscopic Radical Prostatectomy Utilizing Hugo RASTM Platform - Initial Experience - Beyond the Abstract

Hugo RAS Platform from Medtronic has become a viable operating surgical robotic platform. Until now, daVinci from Intuitive was the only surgical platform available worldwide. Hugo RAS which was introduced last year has started becoming available in India, parts of Europe, and South America.

In our centre, since its installation, about 80 surgeries have been performed using this platform. This includes Urological surgeries and GI surgeries

The ease of setting up the system and use is comparable to the existing system. The operating technique is no different from the existing system and hence transition was very easy. We performed radical prostatectomies and found that the outcomes of both operative and oncological outcomes are similar.
