TAT-11: Consideration toward Safety Guidance for Targeted Alpha Therapy in Japan

Prof. Yano described evaluation standard for non-clinical studies necessary for first-in-human TAT studies in Japan. He emphasized the steps for determining the initial safe dose and protocols for increasing the dose. PET or SPECT scans using complementary imaging agents is important for establishing the biodistribution both for targeting efficiency and protection of other organs.

Alpha cameras are useful for measuring the microdose. Japan Atomic Energy Agency is developing a micro-dosimetric simulation package.
