AUA 2016: STENTRACKER: A Smartphone application for the prevention of “forgotten” retained ureteral stents (RUS)


San Diego, CA USA (UroToday.com) Forgotten and retained stents are a headache for urology practices and estimates are at 12%. This study describes the use of a novel smartphone platform or APP that facilitates data collection to present RUS.  
The APP can be installed on a smartphone, tablet or computer and can be accessed from any device.  Information recorded includes stent insertion, removal and product description.  This device is being tested in three institutions.
