AUA 2016: 12 month follow up of 22 patients in the select trial for SUI - Session Highlights

San Diego, CA USA (UroToday.com) Stephan De Wachter presented 1 year data on the Vesair® intravesical balloon therapy device for stress urinary incontinence. The group had previously reported that at 3 months, 80% of the 22 patients had at least 50% decrease in pad weight.

At 12 months 85% (17/20 or intention to treat 17/22) had at least a 50% reduction in pad weight test and 45% of patients had <1g leakage on pad test. Composite endpoint, which included the Incontinence Quality of Life survey showed 83% success at 3 months, 71%  success at 12 months.
